Tips and tricks
Before we jump into the series here are few tips:
- The first step in foundation application starts with ensuring your skin is prepped and moisturized. This will help the foundation glide in evenly without looking cakey or dry.
- Application tip always blend the foundation from the inside out. Start either center of your face working your way out.
- Start with a little product and build up from there as needed.
- You don’t need setting powder all over if looking for a dewy finish (I only apply a little powder on my nose, forehead, chin and under eye area)
- Make sure you take some product down to the next for a more even finish.
- If using a sponge for application ensure it is damp.
- When foundation shades apply them on the jaw line and then blend to check for color.
- Once you find a shade that works apply it on half or your entire face to check for a color match.
- Also, ensure you look at the color in natural light to ensure it indeed is a color match.
- Any foundation can be turned into tinted moisturizer by mixing a few drops into your moisturizer.
- As seasons change so can your foundation shade and type.
- Due to COVID many of us have barely used our makeup in the last year. Remember makeup has a shelf life, so go thru it and purge.
- Remember the most important tip of all you are beautiful just the way you are and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise 😍😊.
