Let’s talk Poo...Shampoo

OMG there are so many options when it comes to shampoos & conditioners that it makes my head spin.  Over the years I have tried several drugstore & high end brands.  From @pantene @dove @verbproducts @ritahazan @bumbleandbumble @aveda @moroccanoil ......the list goes on.

As I’ve mentioned before this year was a year of changes for me when it comes to hair  including what I product requirements (hydrate, soften, help reduce frizz, help against breakage & split ends). Just as skincare changes with seasons or changes in one’s body, so does hair care .

This year I tried several brands & over the next few post I will give you my thoughts on them. Today I want to introduce Fable and Mane created by a brother/sister team, Niki & Akash Mehta & Inspired by their south Asian roots. 

They currently have 4 products in their Holi Roots collection: prewash hair oil, shampoo, conditioner & hair mask.  Each product has clean ingredients like Ashwagandha, coconut, tiger herb, dashmool, Tumeric and more. They are vegan, cruelty free and free of yucky ingredients, for all hair types & might I add in some ways very nostalgic. 

Prewash oil is just that goes on 5 mins or overnight prior to washing.  Rinse and shampoo hair, apply conditioner (avoiding scalp) and wash after a few minutes.  For some extra boost try the mask.  Apply to hair, massage & leave on for 5 mins or longer and rinse. 

It smells and feels divine.  It left my hair feeling soft and nourished and the prewash such a game changer for a healthy scalp.  The first time I found the conditioner a little heavy for my short hair but cutting down on how much I was using helped.
